From general day-to-day worries to full-blown panic attacks. All phobias including spiders, flying, fear of vomiting and claustrophobia. Work pressures, presentations, interview anxieties. Also driving test nerves, exam nerves, and social inadequacy, and low self confidence.
Relationship issues
Jealousy, insecurity, possessiveness, bad temper and anger – usually stemming from childhood experiences. Also,stress relating to IVF treatment, and guilt from pregnancy termination.
Anti-social habits
Smoking, nail-biting, hair-pulling, thumb sucking and teeth grinding.
Weight issues
Creating change in one’s eating behaviour and activity patterns. For some people overeating combats boredom, stress or unhappiness. The client learns ‘the mouth never ever solved the problems of the mind’ and develops a more useful, positive behaviour pattern.
Stress
Caused by pressure of work, family demands, financial problems, sometimes resulting in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) in people with a nervous or anxious tendency. IBS generally responds favourably with hypnotherapy.
